Inclusivity features high in the ethos of the Synagogue and we endeavour to do the best we can within the constraints of our existing premises.
At least twice a year we organise an accessible service in the Beit Limmud on the Sternberg Centre site enabling people who cannot manage stairs to attend services and hear our Rabbi’s sermon. As well as making use of the room’s loop system, we have both a sign interpreter and lip-speaker. Large print prayer books are made available as well as more comfortable seating.
We encourage members of the community to bring parents, grandparents and other relatives or friends who have wanted to come to NNLS, but have been put off by stairs and other difficulties.
We look forward to our new building when every service will be accessible!
