You are here: learning - Skeet and Summer Scheme

Skeet is our annual five-day residential programme for children in Years 5 and 6. We usually hold this event at Skeet Hill House, Kent. A Jewish theme is chosen and various programmes are enjoyed using drama, discussion, arts and crafts, games, film, simulation and many other forms of media.  It is a short time away from home and provides a bridge to attending Noam camp in the summer. The children enjoy fun programming and a social experience, all within a sound Jewish context of prayer and learning. For many it is the highlight of their NNLS Cheder experience. Summer Scheme

NNLS Summer Scheme runs during the summer holidays. A group of dedicated madrichim (leaders) lead a Jewish themed programme for around 60 of our children based at the Synagogue. Each day's programme includes some learning, sports, arts and crafts, games and much more. Our Summer Scheme empowers the children to take initiative, think for themselves, participate well in a group and help make decisions. Our madrichim are well trained and have a reputation for being extremely caring and engaging with the children.  Summer Scheme is open to all Primary School aged children.
